Compare the whole quote

Use one currency and one tax basis. Enter every necessary extra once. A missing cost is unknown, not zero. Check the suppliers’ scope and terms before confirming the checkbox.

A worked example

Quote A: 1,200 plus 300 in required extras = 1,500. Quote B: 1,400 plus 50 = 1,450. On the entered costs alone, B is 50 lower. This says nothing about quality or whether both proposals really include the same work.

What to check outside the calculator

• Deliverables, quantities and acceptance conditions.
• Access, delivery, setup, installation or removal, where applicable.
• Who supplies materials and approves changes.
• Taxes, currency conversion and payment terms.
• Warranty, support and exclusions.
