What is gymnastics?
It is a sport involving a variety of exercises and body stretches. These activities require strength, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination.
The most common courses for women's gymnastics are floor exercise, vault, uneven bars, and balance beam. While for men, the events are usually still rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, and high bars.
Gymnastics originated from exercises done by the ancient Greeks such as mounting and dismounting a horse and several circus performance skills. Other sports include acrobatic and aerobic sports, trampolining, and rhythmic gymnastics.
The sport is usually open for all ages including children as young as one year old. There are also tournaments for kids' gymnastics. Before they can join the competition, kids should first present certificates from both their trainers and parents.
